Summit Center Total Update Completes
Curry Real Estate Services announced today that its comprehensive facelift to, the 162,000-square-foot Summit Center on Oldham Parkway located just south Highway 50 and NW Chipman Road, is now complete.
The center, comprised of both local and national tenants, was Lee’s Summit’s first retail shopping center when Curry purchased it in the 1960s.
“Lee’s Summit is a great place to do business and Summit Center is in a wonderful location,” said Mike Sweeney, Curry senior vice president. “Ellen Todd, Curry president, and Ray Brock, chairman emeritus, underscored their belief in this community when they decided to invest in a total update of Summit Center’s look at the height of the recession in 2010.”
Sweeney said Summit Center’s complete facelift was carried out in multiple phases, refreshing the overall design and greatly increasing tenants’ visibility to drivers on the heavily trafficked 50 Highway. Anderson MacAdams Architects and ARC Contracting were Curry’s architectural and contracting partners in the renovation.
“You know it’s a great location when you have such variety of national, regional and local tenants like Good Year, Unks Burgers, Gold’s Gym, Sears, CareSpot, Side Pockets, Tuesday Morning and Freddy’s,” Sweeney said. “It is rewarding to work with the new players who have located with us while we continue to serve our long-term businesses.
Sweeney said Summit Center is 99 percent leased with only one vacancy remaining.
