Congrats to Four of Our Team Members Celebrating 30+ Years each as CPM’s through IREM Kansas City!

Congrats to Ray Brock, Jim Hogan, Mike Sweeney and Rick Wertz on celebrating 30+ years each as CPM’s through IREM Kansas City! Watch the video to hear Ray Brock’s story on why he took a trip to Hawaii for a real estate class.

The five executives celebrating their CPM designation and longtime membership in IREM include Raymond Brock, CPM®, Ron Castle, CPM®, Jim Hogan, CPM®, Michael Sweeney, CPM®, and Richard Wertz, CPM®.

Ray Brock joined Curry Real Estate Services in 1954 and purchased the firm in 1980. Brock has been with Curry Real Estate Services for more than 60 years and currently serves as chairman emeritus. He earned his CPM® designation in 1966, and in 1968, was elected president of the IREM – Kansas City chapter. Brock has received numerous awards for his work in the community including the Truex Lifetime Service Award by William Jewell College Alumni Association and the Outstanding Missourian Award by the Missouri House of Representatives, among others. Brock works extensively with many charities including the Liberty Hospital Foundation, Northland Community Foundation and the Clay County Parks and Recreation Board. He is also a trustee of the Watkins Mill Association and the Board of College Hill.

Ron Castle joined Curry Real Estate Services in 1973 and served as senior vice president in the multi-family division before returning in 2017. Castle earned his CPM® designation in 1984 and also served as the 1991 president of IREM – Kansas City chapter. In 2016, he was inducted into the Midwest Real Estate’s Commercial Real Estate Hall of Fame. Castle resided in Kansas City and is an active volunteer throughout the metro community.

Jim Hogan currently serves as vice president in Curry’s commercial division. He joined the Curry team in 1972 and earned his CPM® designation in 1986. In 2014, he received the REALTOR® Emeritus status, a special recognition given by the National Association of REALTORS®, and was named the 2013 Salesperson of the Year by the Kansas City Regional Association of REALTORS®. For more than 40 years, Hogan has volunteered with the Boy Scouts of America where he served as 2003 presiding chieftain of the Tribe Mic-O-Say. He and his wife, Regina, have four children and three grandchildren and live in Lee’s Summit, Missouri.

Michael Sweeney joined Curry in 2001 and currently serves as senior vice president in the commercial real estate division. He is a licensed realtor in both Kansas and Missouri and received his CPM® 1984. In 2013, he was recognized by the Kansas City Regional Association of REALTORS® for his top performance in retail commercial real estate. He is a current Royal Lancer and served as president of the organization. Sweeney and his wife, Sue, have two children and live in Prairie Village, Kansas.

Richard Wertz serves as vice president Curry’s multi-family division where he is responsible for the management of more than 1,000 apartment units throughout the metropolitan area. Wertz joined Curry in 1972 and earned his CPM® designation in 1986. He has served on the board of directors of the Kansas City Regional Association of REALTORS® and was the 2000 president of the IREM – Kansas City chapter. He and his wife, Libbie, reside in Liberty, Missouri.

In honor of their longtime membership, Brock, Hogan, Sweeney and Wertz were recognized at an August 16th luncheon held by the IREM – Kansas City chapter.
