Curry Celebrates Chiefs Super Bowl Win

by Suzanne Licata

Curry - Kansas City Chiefs Arrowhead Christmas Party

You could say Curry Real Estate Services has had a lot to celebrate over the last month. Mike Sweeney was inducted into the Midwest Real Estate News Commercial Real Estate Hall of Fame, Nikki Adkins received her CPM® (Certified Property Manager) pinning and Heather Jordan received her ARM® (Accredited Residential Manager) pinning. Oh yeah, and the Kansas City Chiefs won the Super Bowl for the first time in 50 years.

As a local institution in Kansas City’s northland, if there’s one thing the Curry team knows it is hometown pride. Individually and as a company, we are BIG fans of the Chiefs. We even held our annual holiday party at Arrowhead Stadium last year.

So, along with the rest of Kansas City and fans across the country, we kept the faith through a nail biter of a thrilling Super Bowl LIV to celebrate the late-game magic that delivered a Chief’s victory over the 49ers, 31-20. After 50 years, the Chief’s brought the Lombardi Trophy back to Kansas City, winning it for their fans, their coach and their team.

Long after the game, the awesome parade and the rally, this Super Bowl victory leaves a lasting impact on a winning city.

Researchers and data analysts can tell you about the win’s enormous economic impact in dollars and cents or the stunning lift in awareness and positive perception of our city across the globe. What is hard to calculate, but easy to appreciate, is how the joy of this amazing accomplishment can lift the spirits of an entire city. We are still reveling in the goodness of it all.

We are just five years removed from a similar celebration and happiness hangover from the Kansas City Royals 2015 World Series win; for that we had waited 30 years since our last victory.

These are good times for our city and we are fortunate to be living them. Our thanks and appreciation to the Kansas City Chiefs and all those whose great efforts delivered this most recent reason to celebrate.
